They will discuss exactly what’s involved in the treatment, how long it will take (normally two visits) and what kind of results you can expect to see when it comes to the ‘big reveal’ at the end.

The great thing about modern cosmetic dentistry is that you get a chance to see exactly how your brilliant new smile will look – before we start work on your teeth.

Our Altrincham clinic uses the latest computer aided design software to create a 3D image of your new smile which you can view from all angles to check it’s precisely what you had in mind.

Once you’re completely happy with the way your new smile looks on the computer, our ceramist will create a 3D preview model which you can handle to get an even better idea of how the porcelain veneers will look and perform.

Porcelain veneers normally take just two treatment appointments. At your first appointment, your teeth will be prepared to make space for the veneers. We then take an impression to make comfortable temporaries using the 3D preview model, which you wear until your second appointment. Temporary veneers are also an excellent way to trial your planned smile and make any adjustments before the final porcelain veneers are created.

Porcelain veneers – the second appointment

Your new porcelain veneers will be fitted at the second appointment. Our Altrincham cosmetic dentists use a proven multi-layer, ultra-strong bonding system that bonds the veneers to the teeth so they last for decades.

Finally, your new veneers will be polished and bite checked ready for the ‘big reveal’. We also like to see you again in a few days once you’ve had time to use them. At this post-treatment check-up we’ll also take a photograph of your new smile for you to take away with you.
